I could not be happier that you are leaving Google and associated affiliates. As an educated, employed, tax paying, law abiding, CHRISTIAN mother and wife I think you and those like you who continue to promote hatred and discrimination should indeed find your own island. People who seek to create misery in others lives, only do so because their own is lacking the happiness and health they see around them.

Why is it that those who accuse others of “hatred” are the ones leaving the hateful messages? Why is it that those who are supposedly all about “tolerance” are so intolerant of those who believe in right and wrong?

“Hate the sin, but love the sinner” is good advice, no matter what you might consider a “sin” and whomever you might consider a “sinner”.

Uh, hating the sin and loving the sinner is a whole lot of judgement from a whole lot of uninformed people who have been brainwashed. How about some good old fashioned, all American “Live and Let Live”. The is no threat to anyone else’s marriage unless they choose to belong to a gay one as well. If not, cut the judging, get your churches to stay out of politics and civil rights or they need to start paying the massive taxes we need, and get the h*** out of other people’s business and equal treatment under our secular system.

Our country was founded by men of faith, on the very principles that were found in their faith. Our very first laws are basic commandments set out in the Bible itself. Somewhere along the way, this country has become perverted and forgotten its foundations. For those who are ignorant enough to say that Biblical marriages will not be affected, they forget to see that those relationships are a sin, while traditional marriages are not. That is pretty black and white to me. We are all sinners, but there is a stark difference between making mistakes in daily life, and choosing a lifetime of fornication for the purpose of pleasure.

“Live and let live” is what has gotten this country into the horrid shape it is in today. Those same Christians that others are accusing of being judgmental are the ones paying taxes to fund all the programs out there that support “freedom and equality to all”, and doing so against their will. The live and let live mentality has taken away our freedom of speech. Great, if gay marriage is need, let it be, but do NOT compare it to a Biblical marriage, they are not the same thing.

Yep, it is fully possible to love the sinner and hate the sin. In case I should be called an awful name or accused of something like prejudice, I say that we have loving family members who are gay, but choose to remain celibate rather than to sin, knowing that their lives would never be washed of sin if they were indulgent to their fleshly desires.

I believe VERY strongly that a marriage should be a man and a woman. In our society we seem to want to change things in order to make ourselves feel good about what we are doing. Abortion- murder, Homosexuality- is a sin, and the list could go on and on. I feel that we need to get back to the basics of how this country was founded and was intended to be. Not be so worried about hurting some ones feelings, or making them feel uncomfortable. I can promise you that as a Christian my feelings are hurt and I am disappointed daily but yet we can’t do anything that might upset some whose faith or religion is different than mine. In my children’s school they can’t have a Christmas party it is called a Mid-year party. Ok that steps on my beliefs, or how about the big bang theory that my children are being taught again that steps on my beliefs and again I could go on and on.

Thank you for bringing my attention to the fact that Google sup

I am sad to have to join this. I have enjoyed google services, but there are times one must take a stand. It will take a few days to get everything set up but I will be standing with you. we made a difference when WalMart started into this debate, I pray we can make a difference before it is too late.

It’s a shame that Google is doing this. It is they that should stay out of the issue and not you who should sit by and allow them to spout the agenda of homos*xuals. Isn’t it funny to think how the homos*xual ‘machine’ would rise up in protest if Google launched a pro-heteros*xual agenda? I think we need some bumper stickers for that! ;-)

I’m sorry you are having to endure some ‘abuse’ from so-called Christians. But, you are brave and courageous in your stand! I support you and I intend to find another search engine.

Please put my name on your petition.

As far as “tolerance” and “judgement” goes, too much tolerance is a very very dangerous thing. At what point do you say this is wrong, unnatural, or immoral no matter if you follow a Christian or secular lifestyle? In any part of the world in the human and animal kingdoms same sex relationships are unnatural. To argue it doesnt harm anyone outside of the relationship is a point in theory, but , for example, an incestuous consensual relationshio between, say, a brother and sister doesn’t necessarily harm anyone else but it is still wrong, unnatural, and immoral regardless whether you are Christian or secular.
You have to take a stand somewhere, and admit right is right and wrong is wrong and that is just a fact of life.

Yea! I am with you. This is totally uncalled for and inappropriate. I will spread the word.

12 Reasons Why Gay People Should NOT Be Allowed To Get Married:

    1. Homosexuality is not natural, much like eyeglasses, polyester, and birth control.

    2. Heterosexual marriages are valid because they produce children. Infertile couples and old people can’t legally get married because the world needs more children.

    3. Obviously, gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

    4. Straight marriage will be less meaningful if Gay marriage is allowed, since Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage was meaningful.

    5. Heterosexual marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all; women are property, blacks can’t marry whites, and divorce is illegal.

    6. Gay marriage should be decided by people, not the courts, because the majority-elected legislatures, not courts, have historically protected the rights of the minorities.

    7. Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire counrty. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

    8. Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

    9. Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

    10. Children can never suceed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why single parents are forbidden to raise children.

    11. Gay marriage will change the foundation of society. Heterosexual marriage has been around for a long time, and we could never adapt to new social norms because we haven’t adapted to things like cars or longer lifespans.

    12. Civil unions, providing most of the same benefits as marriage with a different name are better, because a “seperate but equal” institution is always constitutional. Seperate schools for African-Americans worked just as well as seperate marriages for gays and lesbians will.

once again, I am proud of google for this stance…they are better off without bigots.

According to the Bible, a marriage can be one man and 700 women (ever heard of Solomon?). My namesake, the Patriarch Jacob, had two wives plus two concubines. And how many wives did David have? Biblical marriages all, but I don’t suppose the supporters of this blog would want to define marriage that way.

Nor, I presume, would they want women considered property as they were under the Mosaic Code (just look at the 10th commandment where they’re listed along with slaves, houses, land, and livestock as types of property).

    I’m a Christian and I support same-sex marriage.
